Program Recruiter

Overview of Position

The Program Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and screening candidates, preparing information sessions, and conducting follow-ups with potential candidates for the “Careers in Construction” program. The Program Recruiter reports to the Senior Program Director of Workforce Development and works closely with the “Careers in Construction” Program team. This position will require availability to work evenings and weekends when scheduled.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruitment processes, including driving the sourcing of candidates; candidate screening; organizing interviews
  • Manage outreach and intake processes to ensure that eligible participants are successfully screened for the program
  • Manage weekly information sessions
  • Keeps accurate record of potential candidates screened in Rebuilding Together NYC’s database, including demographics, geographical location by borough and zip code
  • Assist Program Coordinator with verifying documents such as high school/ high school equivalency diplomas
  • Assist Program Coordinator with running reports as necessary for recruitment and program
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and career fairs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible and enjoy working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiar with Salesforce or another database software
  • Ability to meet deadlines
