Events and Data Consultant

Overview of Position

Compensation: $45-50/hour; 20 hours per week 

On-Site: 4 days a week 

 

Rebuilding Together NYC (RTNYC) is a nonprofit organization that provides home repair and accessibility modifications as well as skill-building opportunities for eligible New Yorkers. RTNYC also provides volunteer opportunities for corporate partners with a focus on rehabilitating community centers, community gardens, and occasional homes.   

 

We are seeking a part-time consultant to assist with data entry, data integrity, event tracking, and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, experience with data management, and an interest in maintaining high standards of data accuracy to support nonprofit operations. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain accurate data related to events, attendees, donors, and other relevant information in our database. 
  • Ensure data integrity by regularly reviewing, cleaning, and verifying information for accuracy and consistency. 
  • Support event registration processes, including updating spreadsheets and tracking attendance. 
  • Assist in compiling reports and analyzing event data to improve data-driven decision-making. 
  • Coordinate with staff and volunteers to collect and input relevant data. 
  • Issue Letters of Acknowledgement 
  • Assist with invoicing and tracking payments related to events. 
  • Maintain organized records of event finances and ensure accuracy in payment documentation. 
  • Communicate with donors, sponsors, vendors and attendees regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances. 
  • Update the nonprofit’s website with event details, schedules, and relevant announcements. 
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for technology support as needed for event-related systems and tools. 
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support event execution and follow-up.  

Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry, project management, data management, or event coordination is necessary. 
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Proficiency in data management, spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets), and Salesforce a must 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 
  • Good and timely communication and strong organizational skills. 
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus but not required. 
  • Commitment to professional ethics in working with confidential, sensitive information.
